Originally designed to provide a cool circulation of air during warm periods, Xpelair Whispair is a popular choice for winter applications too, where their use as heat destratification units can reduce heating costs. These commercial quality products are designed for use in public buildings, shops, theme pubs, restaurants, village halls, churches, hospitals, schools, farm buildings, factories, warehouses and other commercial buildings. Whispair are designed for worldwide use, including hot and humid conditions. The units are rated for continuous operation in commercial applications at temperatures up to 40ºC and are suitable for upwards or downwards airflow. Fan blades are steel and are supplied in matched sets. Whispair products or fans are supplied with a choice of two lengths of suspension rod giving overall drops of 375 or 750mm. In summer the atmosphere can become stifling hot. Whispair can provide immediate relief by quietly delivering a continuous cooling breeze over a wide area. To maximise the benefit it is good practice to introduce fresh air into the area. In winter stratification will naturally occur in a room as hot air rises to ceiling level (or the apex of the roof) and cooler air sinks to ground level. Xpelair Whispair fans will effectively destratisfy the hot air which gathers at ceiling height by pushing it downwards to mix with cooler air nearer to ground level, thus providing a more uniform temperature profile from floor to ceiling. This results in reduced heating costs as all the hot air does not gather at ceiling height, and thermal losses are reduced. The units should be set for downward airflow at low speed for optimum effect. For automatic control all Whispair have integral anti-vibration bobbins and a continuously rated capacitor start and run external rotor motor. The motor incorporates two sets of caged ball bearings for extra long life.

Installing an NWAN48 sweep fan could reduce heating bills by up to 30% and even with an insulated building, savings of 10% can be achieved. This unit can be operated by an optional remote controller which is available separately and the unit also has a reversible operation for complete versatility. To provide automatic control the NWAN48 Whispair fan has an integral anti-vibration bobbin and a continuously rated capacitor to start and run the external rotor motor and to provide the unit with an extra long life the motor incorporates two sets of caged ball bearings. The Xpelair ThermoMiser Sensor Control System is available as an optional addition and this will automatically compare high and low temperatures to ensure that the fan is operated in such a way as to maximise energy efficiency. To gain maximum benefit from the control system the ThermoMiser should be sited in an area where the ambient temperature is less than 35 degrees C with the sensors fitted, one at high level and one at low level. The manual control knob can be used in summer to manually override the sensors. All Whispair Controllers can be used to control a single fan or a group of up to six fans. Two drop rods are supplied to provide either 375mm or 750mm overall drop. Good product albeit the separately purchases WAC1 controller from Xpelair was useless. It's subsequent free replacement was useless also(the first malfunctioned, the second fell apart)! My fan now works at one speed only but in the mid-summer heat of Greece i do not mind.
