I found this in an Oxfam bookshop, unprepossing cover and appeared slightly impenetrable, being written in what seemed to be BASIC programming language.
However, it soon becomes very entertaining and a delight to read.
I'm only writing this review as I'm amazed no-one has reviewed any of her books, as I understand she is a very highly regarded experi.mental writer. Though, had I not found that one by chance all those years ago, I too would not have read any.
I don't want to give too much of the plot as it's a long time since I read it and I worry that what I remember could spoil the experience. Put simply, it's the story of two children who learn to communicate with an unusual pebble and what happens therafter.
