Amazon Verified Purchase
I purchased this product to replace my stock AMD cooler. I am using it to cool a Phenom II X4 940 currently on stock speeds. It was a little fiddly to put together and mount, but overall it's simple enough that it doesn't require any tools if you are using the included clips. It is quite a large cooler so check to see weather it'll fit your motherboard and case.

It's virtually silent even on full speed and keeps my processor very cool. I did a little test and I managed to get the processor to 22 degrees C with the fan speed on max. However, this is using a HAF 922 case, which has rather good airflow.

When I first installed it and booted up I was shocked to find that the fan wasn't spinning, so I quickly powered down. However I soon found out, to my relief, that the fan doesn't start spinning until a little later.

Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and it's a vast improvement to the stock AMD cooler which got very loud when at full speed and wasn't anywhere near as cool.

I bought this heatsink to replace my smaller exisiting one.
The heatsink itself is quite large (a good thing), you'll need a mid size case or larger.
The 120mm fan is quiet and provides an effective draw.

I bought this with the Crossbow Bracket to secure it to the motherboard,
there is a simple push-pin solution included in the box, but I recommend buying the bracket too (push-pins are a temporary solution).

Installation was straightforward until I had to fit the fan to the heatsink.
You'll have to lubricate the rubber to fit it in the slots (you'll know what I mean when you see it).
Other than that everything went smoothly, and this was my first time installing a heatsink of any kind.

Design Classic 9 Jun 2010
A design classic and the original Xigmatek product I've owned.

You'll find plenty of reviews recommending this cooler and it is better than the more expensive upgraded model!

On the strength of this product's prowess in cooling my CPU, I've recommended the cooler to a friend on his PC build and I've bought 3 fans made by the company for my modded Acrylic PC Case. Not forgetting to mention the purchase of one of the Xigmatek's PC Cases for my Summer Gaming PC.

Top company, producing excellent products.
