Its a cheap 5.1 setup so I didnt expect much, heres the pros and cons.

Pros -
*Reasonable sound quality in a medium sized room, as long as the subwoofer wasnt right next to you when you listened to it.
*Fairly powerful Subwoofer.
*The 3d mode can work quite well, and the ability to change to 2.1 can be handy sometimes.
*Choice of AC-3 (many leads connecting to computer) or just simple AUX (one split right and white lead), and best of all the AUX still uses all the speakers.
*fairly good volume level

Cons -
*Low Buzz on stanby, debatable whether this is a problem.
*the Rear sattelite speakers seem very weak, where as the sub seems to powerful, but this can be balanced in a medium sized room by putting the sub at the back and turning the treble down on the remote.
*Remote rather than control panel, which is better in some respects but when using it as pc speakers it can be annoying.

I use it in conjuction with an old panasonic 5.1 surround home cinema system to create a 10.2 experiance by running it out the tv head jack. it seems to hold up reasonably well against the 700 watt panasonic. worth 50 quid I'd say

No doubt, these speakers are of decent sound for 80watts system, BUT after 1 year, the "subwoofer has blown" so do expect to replace them after 1 year if you like loud music and good bass, i recently tried to get them repaired but warranty has ran out! there is a buzzing/clicking sound now when volume is on medium - high levels which it didn't do before so the subwoofer is fried! there is a constant buzzing sound when first get them even "if nothing is playing" but i think i got used to it lol. Remote is NEED to FULLY FUNCTION the item, YOU CAN turn the bass lower with the remote and turn treble and mid high - low, IF YOU NEED A CHEAP SET OF POWERFUL SPEAKERS TO LAST YOU ABOUT A YEAR THEN GET THESE, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PURE QUALITY WHICH WILL NOT BREAK WITHIN A YEAR THEN YOU WILL NEED TO LOOK ELSE WERE AND IF YOU DO LOSE THE REMOTE, YOU CAN NOT FUNCTION OR CONTROL THE SYSTEM AS IT RELIES ON THE REMOTE TO FUNCTION IT!

After using these speakers with music, tv and Playstation 3, they do offer a great sound at a decent volume without distorting. It is advised to have an RCA to RCA jack as mentioned in a previous review but it does come with 3 aux to RCA leads for use with computer 5.1 sound cards. The remote is simple to use and effective. The speakers for the rear have a reasonable cable length but will be difficult to stretch around a large sized room.

Overall they are very very good value for money and look amazing. I would fully recommend them to anyone looking for a speaker set around this price. You dont get any others that come close to them in the price range. (I purchased mine for [...] from [...] but they now have none left in stock due to extremely popular demand) but are still worth the price listed on amazon.

id thought I would write a proper review as no one seems to have yet, I had questions when I was thinking to buy this product and didn't really got conclusive answers, so heres what I wanted to know. First - build quality I cannot fault apart from it would be handy to have either manual volume controls or a lcd screen so you can see what your actually doing, all you have got is a blue led point out of the subwoofer that flashes when button on remote control is pressed. Next - speaker cable lengths, front left and right and center speakers the cables are 5 meters long and surround right and left are 10 meters. Next - speakers them selves are very good quality considering the price, ive tested the speakers and each speaker has got a 50 watt 2 inch driver and a 20 watt 1 inch power dome tweeter. Next - what actually comes in the box, you get 1x subwoofer, 5x speakers, 1x remote, 3x 1.2m 3.5mm jack to phono cables, 1x manual, overall this is a very good quality set. the only thing I would recommend is using a different amplifier like a Yamaha av amplifier like I am, as the amp built in has a poor 5.1 decoder so it sounds like your under water. I would still recommend this speaker set

Nice set. Use as computer speakers. Very loud base - a bit too overpowering for the music. Have to turn base down as you would not hear the actual music just the baseline. This is the first time I have bought Xenta speakers and so far they are working impressively well. (I usually buy logitech speakers). I would recommend them if you like a lot of base.

I never got one from amazon but another site. I was unsure wether they were going to do the job at first but after using them for 7 months I am very impressed. I don't exactly go easy on them and they keep on going. Very good bass and general sound is great. Only use one of the inputs from the desktop and have set the volume at a certain level and use the keyboard control in mac osx to control the volume but just remember if you loose the remote then you cannot really do anything with them.

Overall they are excellent and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a solid set of speakers.
