The cable arrived quickly and was well priced and for a few months, did sterling service allowing me to backup my 60GB HD, which to be fair is what I bought it for. However, I then bought a new 120GB Microsoft HD and tried to use this to transfer the data via the xbox itself. I connected the drive to the Xbox's USB and it immediately asked if I wanted to format the 120Gb HD for Xbox use. I said OK (not unreasonable) but it then formatted it as a 16Gb USB memory stick. The worst bit is, this is unfixable, the HD is now useless and can't be restored back to 120Gb as a crucial file on it has gone. You can rebuild it if you're really keen, using some arcane hacking tools but you can't go online with the resulting drive unless you want banning. MS are blaming this problem (HD appearing as a USB stick and confusing the Xbox) on third party cables. No idea if it's true or not but if you are thinking of buying this cable for transferring from one drive to another, DO NOT LET IT FORMAT IT FIRST!
