5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and Effective 11 Dec 2008
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Like me, if you were one of those people who just got the Core Xbox 360 console, and don't have any hard drive space, then this is the thing you need. I started out with a 64MB Memory Card when I first acquired my 360, but as I have recently been in the process of upgrading to Xbox Live, then I quickly found out that I needed 124 MB of space just to connect - which is basically double what I had available to me with the 64MB Memory Unit.

So I was faced with a choice, just buy a Premium Xbox for £180, or buy one of these for £25. i think it's safe to say which was the safer and cheaper option.

Buying this product has allowed me a lot for flexibility with my gaming, I've connected to Xbox Live now, and have plenty of space for Save Games and other stuff, you can even download a couple songs or two. Just for fun.

Basically, if you need it, buy it. It's what you need for a Core System and Xbox Live. If you don't need it, I recommend Call of Duty: World at War, Fifa 09 or Gears of War 2 this christmas.

1.0 out of 5 stars utter nonsense 5 Aug 2011
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
Don't even bother you can buy the Sandisk Usb Flash Drive - 16GB (Xbox 360) for 17 quid or the 8 GB version of the same product for a tener off amazon. And for those who arn't sure it will work on an x-box because it's not the same colour or doesn't look like the official memory stick ... it says x-box on the stick and coes in x-box packages .... as if it was made for an x-box. So if you want to fork out 30 quid for 500MB when you could buy 3 8 GB sticks for the price go ahead waste your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful for multiple consoles 15 Mar 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
If you're likely to use more than one Xbox 360 console, this memory unit allows you to transfer your Xbox live profile to it and just plug it into any console you want to sign into, allowing you to continue earning Gamerscore etc.

While you can do online recovery of your profile, it's rather slow and insecure by comparison. What's more, you can carry a few Arcade titles and save games with you.

Yes, we're all annoyed that it's proprietary technology. "Why can't I just use the SD card I have?" I hear you cry. That might have been an alternative solution, but just imagine how rife cheating online would be then. It's a bit much for the space you get on it, but don't forget you're also paying for a secure and cheat-free system.

5.0 out of 5 stars Xbox 360 512mb memory unit 6 July 2010
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
A main issue with any game is wanting to be able to take the information with you, allowing you to get help from freinds , sharing photo's or videos.
The Xbox memory unit takes up this task, allowing you to carry all your game saves , photos, music or videos up to 512mb in solid state form.

Firstly , the most amazing thing about this memory unit is the size. It's unbelievably small, in comparison to a ps2 memory card its almost half the size and a bit thinner. The actual dimensions are only 3.9cm in width, 3.6cm in height and 1/2cm thick. This will fit easily in your bag or pocket with no issues whatsover.

The memory unit is a simple , clinical white. With the front having Microsoft and Xbox 360 engraved into it, this looks pretty cool and has a slightly rough texture like the Xbox itself. The top half is slightly indented to let it sit easier in the memory unit slot.
The back has the id number , barcode and a shiny microsoft holographic sticker.
On the bottom is a shiny 512mb sticker running along it, this shows when it's plugged in so you can tell which ones which in the slots.
On top is the grey plug this is smaller than your thumbnail and is what connects the unit into the socket.

The unit is feather light as you would expect, but it also feels rugged and well made. This could probably take quite a few knocks and not be affected, this is not only because of the material but also its insides.
The memory unit is something called solid state, this is also used in the memory sticks and SD cards, what this means is that there are no moving parts inside it , so a lot less can go wrong through peices jarring or failing to spin.

Using it is easy as pie, simply stick it into one of the two memory unit slots on the front of your Xbox.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Deal 7 Feb 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I've never seen this going for such a low price before so i snapped it up.
Even though i have the 120gb Elite HDD, its handy to have a portable Memory Card if yr taking yr profile to play elsewhere - and also, its a Very good idea to make duplicate copies of valuable saves... (pesky crashes can wipe hours/days of progress!)

You can buy a memory stick that isn't xbox branded as they now have memory stick combatability. Everything that goes on to this can go onto a usb memory stick, you get much more memory for your money and the usb stick can be used on pcs aswell. Be warned the memory stick you buy must be more than 1gb to work with xbox. For the price of this you can buy much more memory.

5.0 out of 5 stars Memory Unit let's my gamertag free 26 Aug 2009
By StuartA
When my Memory unit arrived. Straightaway I inserted in in my XBox and moved my gamertag to it. It is now free, and I have used it on my brother's console, and gained more gamerscore with it. Better than having to recover my gamertag, now I can just move it to any console I want to use.

4.0 out of 5 stars Same old same old 23 Jan 2008
Verified Purchase
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
It's a memory card that lets you save your progress and profile. I can get 5 or 6 arcade games on here that can be transported between my XBoxes (does not work with Sega Vintage Collection games, eg. Sonic).

But, it is still just a memory card. Why it should cost so much to fit in a proprietary slot remains a mystery. More overpriced hardware by MS.
