For under a fiver I don't think you are likely to get a better cable for the money, yes OK the connectors are not a really tight or even snug fit but this is the downside of the actual optical Toslink cable design and not unique to this brand of cable which is no worse than cables costing much more.
XO is a quality brand and I was so happy with the cable I received, that when it arrived I imediately ordered another.

This cable feels good and robust, the connections are sturdy and the sound quality is excellent. I use it with my wireless surround sound system and the rear speakers do not loose any quality. Also nice to get a short cable - who needs miles of cable to link 2 pieces of equipment that sit right next to each other !!

Needed a second set of cables for a second surround sound system but did not have the budget for my normal high end cables.
Bought a set of 3 opticals at a very cheap price.
The sound is amazing so good that I ripped all the old cables out including mid range HDMI and replaced them all with cables from this range.
Picture and sound awesome and the woven cover in bright white looks clean and neat (much better than black rubber)when bundled with a row of neat white cable ties, Highly Recommended
Bought second set for main 7.1 to replace a mish mash of very expensive cables that were aging pulled the receipts for the old ones and they came in at over £200.00 new set cost less than £50.00 obviously the quality has improved in the last 2 years and I am sure that most people including die hard AV guys could not tell the difference, a quarter of the price Brilliant

Why spend more?
I personally ordered the 2m cable to be used between AV amp and PS3 as 1m wasnt quite reaching. Does exactly as it should without spending a fortune.

amazing optical cable
This cable is quite special as its quite thick, has nylon like braiding and the connectors are GOLD and perfect fit.
