I was worried about the PSU to use for the new set up, so I looked for a reasonable one for a price to run the GTX 780
No issues what so ever, it runs the system that I set up perfectly

The sata cables was a pain to fit in the hard-drive and CD-Rom at first and noticed it was a bit unloose

I give this a 5 star because it works well and gives you a good run for the money and refer it to many who need one at a low price that will work for your needs

After being recommended this PSU I purchased it about a month ago. Just recently I had been recieveing problems with my system where i plugged anything into USB slots and the power to the computer would immediately cut out. Because of this I was blaming my USB device as i expected it to be at fault but then the problem started occuring without any of the likely USB devices plugged in. I was having a look into the computer when i attempted to power it on again but this time the SATA data cable running from my motherboard to my dvd began to smoke i immediately removed all power from the system but it was too late my DVD drive had fried and my SATA 6GB Port 3 has also been damaged I couldn't put my finger on the problem but began to suspect the PSU. I had a spare Corsair 430W PSU that i installed on the same system after removing the XFX and behold all problems disappeared. I could now plug in all USB devices and my computer wasnt shutting down. I contacted Amazon who were very helpful and understanding and have replaced the DVD drive & motherboard and are going to refund the PSU. I began to pack the PSU ready for collection in a few days when i got a sharp zap of electic from it also.

Now this PSU feels and looks very well made so i'd probably put this down to a one off but I am a little reluctant to reorder this item as if i wasn't as quick as i was my £1000+ system would have been no more. Really annoyed but i guess these things happen.

This is one of the best PSUs in the market, with its insides being made by Seasonic its quality is second to none. BUT I am currently having an issue with extremely loud obnoxious fan noise which is ruining my otherwise almost silent rig. I've contacted XFX to see if a solution can be reached but if this is a recurring issue then I would have to recommend a good be quiet!, Corsair or Seasonic power supply instead.

Great Product 1 April 2013

XFX makes great power supplies! It can handle my new gaming rig and never break a sweat! The fan on this thing can pretty much stay idle because it is a high CFM fan. Well designed, solid psu. The only thing I could say that would be better is longer connections for cable management.

Solid PSU 5 Jan 2013

My build:

My build:
Silverstone SG09B case
MSI Z77MA-G45 mobo
XFX 650W XXX Single Rail PSU (modular)
Intel Core i5-3570k
Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Samsung 840 250GB SSD
2x Samsung F3 1TB hard drive (RAID 1)
Sapphire Radeon 7850 2GB (Crossfire)
MSI Twin Frozr Radeon 7850 2GB (Crossfire)
No optical drive

Has plenty of power to run my i5 and Crossfire'd 7850s. 160mm long so fits better in smaller mATX cases like I have

Note the PSU is not FULLY modular as the 24pin mobo, 4+4pin CPU and two 6+2pin PCIE plugs are not removable. Not problem for me since they're necessary to run my setup but something to consider if you'd don't do SLI or are using a lower power CPU that doesn't need the 4+4 CPU pin and want fewer cables.

Very quiet and seems to be well made. A good value for a 650W PSU compaired to say a similar Corsair or Seasonic. A bit cheaper with the same performance. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Price, Beautiful Performance 20 Jun 2013

Got it for around seventy bucks in June, which is insane for a Semi Mod PSU backed up by a decent brand.

Lets me run

AMD Fx6300
MSI 970 G46
8 Gb Ram
2 WD Blue 500 Gb HDD
120 GB Samsung 840 SSD
EVGA 650 GTX Ti Boost

All while having space for an SLI Ti Boost or equivalent Crossfire alternative

It is absolutely quiet, and comes with plenty cables (apart from the fixed ones) in case you want to wire many more things.

Its the best of both worlds, as is prewired with the ones you need, and modular with the ones that are optional :)

Would buy again :D

Edit:1 Year and still going strong (despite 25+ outages)
Works wonderfully but bottom mounting was an issue 26 Feb 2014

I bought this to replace one that was starting to show it's age. It looks nice and the cables are nicely sleeved. It's an 80+ Bronze but I imagine that will be just fine for my gaming machine as I don't typically overclock. It's Semi-Modular and only has the 24pin Main, 8Pin CPU, and two 6+2pin PCIe cables are fixed. I wasn't able to run a SATA cable up to my DVD Drive but I plan on removing it soon anyway. did have a minor issue mounting it in my Cooler Master HAF 932 case as the only way I could mount it on the bottom was with the fan pointing down. This seems to be how many are expected to be mounted and it isn't a major issue as it sits on a hardwood floor so there is no carpet to block the intake vent on the bottom.

My Setup:
CoolerMaster HAF 932
AMD FX-8320 8 Core
HD 6670 (Getting an R9 270X)
16GB (4X4) DDR3 RAM
Crucial M4 128GB SSD
Absolutely incredible. 12 Jan 2014

This XFX 850w power supply is exactly that. A single 12v rail supplying 840w (850 peak) to everything at 70A. I replaced a 550w that had dual rails (only 220w each rail), which didn't supply enough power to my GTX560ti.

Note: This power supply is only semi-modular. The 24 pin motherboard power, 8 pin CPU power, and 2x 6/8pin GPU power cables are hardwired. All SATA, HDD/Molex, floppy, and additional CPU/GPU power cables are modular.

The PSU is silent, provides extremely efficient power at a proper voltage (monitored the voltages in my BIOS for a while), and is stable.

The only complaint I have about the one I received, a bit of the black paint/powdercoat on the "XFX" logo on the back was scraped off a bit. Purely cosmetic, and almost impossible to see as the case I have it in has a bottom-mount PSU.
