As is to be expected of an "all in one" filter, quality is not great. The first few steps are ok, I have combined it with my polarizing filter and I have gotten a couple of decent shots. But I really wanted to use the darkest steps for long exposures on day light and when you reach the darkest area you get a terrible haze that you can see in the images, plus all the vignette gets blurry given the quality of the material.

All in all, I would say if you are looking to practice your first shots with an ND filter, the price is great and it lets you do some experimenting especially at dusk or sunrise but if you want to shoot long exposure on midday just buy something better.

Another product I find invaluable, it's versatility is second to non, reducing the restrictions of dedicated strength filters and the hassle of having to use more than one filter in order to achieved the desired affect. It can be used in conjunction with a CPL which can also add to the filter effect. Having said that it is advisable on occassion to use a graduated filter when photographing landscapes and/or where there are significant differences in light within the composition.

I have several XCSOURCE products and have always found them to be of good quality and reasonably priced.

At first this all looked good and i thought bargain. On the camera shocking, 2 stops from maximum you get this strange what i can only describe as drawn curtain affect if the curtain is stuck behind your sofa, the middle of the lense is dark but the top, bottom, left and right of the lense is light. For the price i paid i cant be bothered sending it back, im going to try using it but i'll probably have to use a polarising filter to make up the 2 stops, i'll probably put a vid on youtube showing what this filter does

As mentioned in other reviews, at higher levels you will begin to find a 'cross' effect in the middle with completely light areas in four corners (see attached photo, this was about two steps down from max). Tested this on my 16-80mm and found I have to zoom to at least 40-50mm to get rid of this effect, as you ar basically zooming into the centre of the cross. Photos at the higher ends are so-so. Obviously a good starter, but if you are serious, spend the money for a quality filter.

I don't know if this applies to the other diameters, but note that the seller accurately states: "Back thread diameter (attach to lens, male thread): 62mm". But the FRONT thread diameter appears to likely be 67mm, which means you'll have to carry around another lens cap just for this, or remove it every single time you want to change spots.

Filter case is nice and sturdy, and the lens cloth isn't bad. All-in-all I don't mind keeping this in my quick-carry bag for some on the spot long-term exposures. But if I were planning a shoot, I'd bring along a better ND filter.

It's cheap and you can play around with it until you get something like a satisfactory result. ND400 at max? I don't think so but I was able to get some reasonable long exposure shots on a bright sunlit day. One plus point is you can still view and focus with the filter in place on the minimum setting, then shift to max to take your shot - no need to remove the filter between shots.

Pretty good and does the job as expected. In some settings, especially max (forget which ND number) you can kind of see star-like outline, but I never need to darken my image that much so doesn't effect my photos/videos.
