Can't fault this HDMI cable. Bought it to upgrade from my HDMI 1.3 cable, heard the 1.4 was essential for 3D gaming.
To the eye, there is no noticable difference in image quality. To me, a 1080p movie looked the same using a 1.1 HDMI cable as it did a 1.4 cable. Although it is likely the cable is enhancing the image, it is not that significant.
The main improvement I did notice was fluency. Games were able to play more smoothly, almost as if the frame rate had been increase.
3D films and games blurred less. This bit is essential to make sure you don't the the blurr effect as this can ruin any film.
The main improvement of a 1.4 cable is the fact it now has an ethernet built in to be able to transfer internet connections. This is essential for smart Tvs that you want to connect to the internet. As i didnt use the cable for this, I can't review it.
If you want to keep on top of technology, or are a keen 3D gamer/film-watcher, then you must buy this cable.
If you're thinking of buying it to replace a 1.3 but only use it to watch HD tv or games, then this is not essential.
