I purchased this cable for the rca adapter. I have purchased a set of turtle beach x31 headphones for my xbox but couldn't use them when the xbox is wired up with a hdmi cable. The adaptor that microsoft sell cost upto £20 so i needed a cheaper alternative and this fit the bill. The adapter is great if you use any stero surround speakers or headphones with your xbox and cost less than a fiver. The hdmi cable that comes with the adapter is just a bonus.

I bought this product so that I can still use a HDMI wire for my Xbox 360 when I have my Turtle Beack X11's in, I have to say I highly recommend this item to everyone who wants to use their Turtle Beach Headsets whilst still enjoying great HD visuals, plus you get a free HDMI wire which is a good little bonus for this product.

I've left this review as a warning to people regarding this cable. One reviewer has already mentioned this but I feel it is so important that I'd mention it again.
If, like me, you have a plasma TV and need to put the TV on standby to prevent screen burn if the game is on pause for a while, switching the TV back on will cause the xbox to reboot loosing your current position in the game that you painstakingly spent ages trying to achieve. This is also true when switching channels back and forth. This also occurs when switching the xbox on then switching the TV on causing the xbox to boot then reboot part way through the original boot up. That can't be good for the xbox!
I bought this lead for a second TV, the other TV has the official cable attached. The official microsoft cable does not cause this problem on either TV.
The moral of the story is that, if you feel you are never going to put your TV on standby or switch channels whilst a game is on pause, or feel you will always switch your TV on first and then your xbox then buy this cable (as it is half the price), otherwise buy the original. I will be getting a refund and buying the original.

don't bother .
don't bother with this product , it doesn't work at all . the xbox just restarts itself over and over again until the audio adapter is removed . really disappointed.

It's ok.
