excellent aussie thriller, which is quite sexy and real at same time . Loved the opening scene when Holly and her male co worker are at a special event . The sex is never gratuitous and although the cover makes it look like a lads/ violent movie this is a lot better than that .perfect late night tv.

This Australian film is a slightly derivative, slightly confused yet watchable thriller. It tells the story of two ladies of the night, who have very different experiences of thir profession, who meet one fateful night and do a job together. Something goes wrong, and soon they are being hunted through the streets of Sydney by a scary killer.

The film suffers on two points. Firstly is the feeling that plotwise we've seen this before. Secondly is that it's never quite sure what it wants to be. It starts off almost as a serious study of prostitution, showing the different ends of the trade and the degrading effects it has on those trapped in it. Almost a decent social commentary. Then it shifts into thriller/chase mode, which is overlaid with psychological stuff and leads to the slightly odd ending. If it could have made it's mind up as to what it wanted to be it would have been a better film.

These negatives are overcome by a charismatic cast, who act pretty well, and a director who manages to make it look good. It's eminently watchable, just not a classic. 3 stars.

The scene is Sydney and a high class `call girl' is on her way to do an action `life class' with a Jude Law look a likie in front of Sydney's well to do ladies. They sit in a circle sipping champagne while our heroic duo `get it on' in a sort of upper class `dogging' class; and who said the Australians have no culture?

This `courtesan' is Holly Rowe (Viva Bianca), she has decided to quit the profession and retire to Paris. Problem is she hasn't told her eerily controlling `boyfriend' who wants to leave his family to be with her - oops. She also has to `work' right up to the time to get on the flight. We also have the story of seventeen year old, runaway Shay Ryan (Hannah Mangan-Lawrence) she is penniless and is going to start at the bottom of the street walking trade by giving hand relief for a few dollars.

Fate throws the two women together and they end up in a situation that they can not control. What happens next is a full on ride through the very sleazy under belly of Sydney, including drug abuse, flesh pots and corrupt coppers. There is a fair amount of nudity and violence along the way too.

Director Jon Hewitt has done a reasonable job of getting fairly good performances from the cast, there are some that could have been improved, but this is a fast paced thriller that tries very hard not to pull its punches. That is where it has real strength and not in the character development and I must say I thought it was very good indeed.

There are a couple of plot holes in this 89 minute action fest, but they are so minor that they can be overlooked for the sake of entertainment, and entertaining this really is. Another great film from Australia that deals with crime, not as good as `Animal Kingdom' but a very close run thing.

Holly Rowe (Viva Bianca) a call girl has saved up enough money for retirement. She is getting ready to go to Paris. Michael, one of Holly's Johns is a married man who has an unhealthy attachment for her. He wants to run away with her to Paris.

Meanwhile Shay (Hanna Mangan Lawrence) is the new girl on the block making money by giving hand jobs to old men while talking dirty (I couldn't believe that is what old men always request from young girls.) Shay doesn't have a pimp to "protect" her. She has been stepping on the other girl's territory without paying her dues.

Holly has a big score and needs a second girl. All the other girls are busy. That is when she runs into Shay (literally) in the street. She takes Shay under her wing. Of course nothing goes as planned and the working girls witness a murder. They are on the run because...? Prostitutes make for credible witnesses and always run to the cops when they see a crime. The movie becomes a game of cat and mouse with some minor unoriginal twists.

What we learned is that all Johns are creepy men who want kinky sex, all prostitutes are reluctant victims, and cars in Australia don't have front air bags. The acting was good. The script was bland.

Nudity (male and female, Viva Bianca,Hanna Mangan Lawrence, Belinda McClory), sex, f-bomb.

Yes , not a bad "aussie" film .not many recognisable actors as they were all so young but the main actress was recognisable from "Spartacus" which is an excellent adult TV series

Good story line with a decent cast (practically all from Spartacus). Shows a good insight to the Australian underbelly, with only action no time wasting.

In this 2011 Australian erotic thriller Holly (Viva Bianca, Spartacus) is a high class ‘escort’ while Shay (Hanna Mangan-Lawrence) is a 17 year old runaway, broke and alone who fresh off the bus, starts to work the bottom of the street scene. Their two worlds collide when a twist of fate brings them together for a one off job. Needless to say, things go awry and they end up on the run from a maniacal killer.
This is a fast paced movie that is brutal and violent from the start. Filmed in Sydney’ red light district it plays with a documentary style realism as we watch the girls run through the underworld in an attempt to stay alive reminding one of ‘New Town Killers’ whilst their plight bonds the two together in a way that brings to mind 'Beautiful Creatures'.
With full frontal nudity [male and female] and scenes of sex from the very beginning it opens like a soft porn film but the filming, direction and acting help keep it entertaining as do the few low key plot twists. Yet the film seems to drift from social commentary illustrating drug abuse, prostitution and corruption onto violent thriller at the drop of a hat and seems to loose its way at the end which seems a bit of a let down or even a cop out.
The single disc offers little in way of extras, just play, scene selection and bonus material comprising a making of and half a dozen cast interviews.
If violence, swearing and nudity are likely to offend, then do not buy this. On the other hand if you want a gritty realism that isn’t afraid to pull punches, then this is worth a watch. Not a classic, but a good runner in the thriller/chase genre and worthy of **** rating.
