I knew this was coming after seeing the volumes then the season boxsets come out knew it was only a matter of time and about time too !
This is an excellent boxset being your kids cartoon education by getting them to watch the proper xmen not the animated remakes which i have to say are bit rubbish and are not anywhere near as interesting as this series!
you will not be sorry buying this dvd set and is also much cheaper to get this than get the individual seasons

I just love it when a boxset comes out in parts and seperate volumes and then patience willing I hold out till a collected edition is available, and here it is. X-men Ultimate collection, is the entire run of the nineties show all for a great price. It's such a nostalgia thing for me, brings back memories of Saturday mornings, big bowl of cereal and me inches from the telly in the front room just itching to know what happens to Wolverine next, always wishing that they'll come across my fav villains Apocalypse or Mr. Sinister. Even after all this time it still makes me feel the same way when I watch it now, although instead of breakfast time I'm a big boy and I can watch it right til the wee hours of the night and just wallow in all this X-men heaven.

This complete collection includes all five seasons on twelve discs with over 26 hours of animated action. All the favourite characters are here, both good and evil, including Rogue, Wolverine, Storm, Jean Grey, Charles Xavier and Cyclops appearing in the majority of episodes while there are many other characters coming and going through-out including Magneto, Apocolypse, Juggernaut, Mystique and so many more. Suffice to say, if you have a favourite X-Men character the chances are they'll show up here. The episodes themselves all intertwine with each other, with storylines including time-travel, the fight for mutant rights, the Morlocks and even relationships between the X-Men and their foe's taking many episodes to come to a resolution which shows a level of intelligence that is quite rare in the television cartoon field. Any X-Men fan will be gripped from the start. The animation is wonderful, the battles quirky and fast-paced and the voice acting is also top-notch.
The whole show is quality and hasn't really aged much. This boxset is a must have for any Marvel or X-Men fan, young or old and quite a bargain to boot. Excellent value. Hours of joy.
