Super hero movies and the technology behind them have advanced a lot since the first X-Men film, and you notice it with this latest in the series. The characters and their powers are very convincingly brought to life from the comic books and the screenplay for this one is the best so far. The action is real edge of seat stuff, the 3D Blu Ray is excellent, the depth and motion come across very well.

this along with First class shows what the x-men films are capable of. the cast of the X-men films have never been bad, but the plot used before have ruined it for me as characters are killed that are not suppose to (spoiler alert) this films thankfully undoes all of this and repairs the x-men universe. the plot is based on one of the original X-men comics and I think one of the best.

The films cast are brilliant making young Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Prof X (James McAvoy) meet Magneto (Ian Mckellen) and Prof X (Patrick Stewart) senior. The acting by both of them is brilliant as well as other cast members, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage and Nicholas Hoult.

the effects are very good, and are necessary for the film to work, as it would do no good for wolverine to be missing his claws.

if you are planing on watching this film wait until the end of the credits as this will show you the short clip, which will lay the foundations for X-men apocalypse, set to be released (2016).

Great film-perfect addition to the series. Storyline is very similar to The Terminator in that in the future machines called the Senitels wipe out humans and mutants alike in a big war. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is sent back to 1973 by Charles & Eric ( Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen) in order to get a young Charles (James McAvoy), Eric (Michael Fassbender), Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) and the Beast (Nicholas Hoult) to work together in order to prevent the Senitels coming into existance. This has amazing special effects as you would expect from an XMen Film, deals with moral issues such as what makes people different and how people come to terms with their own differences), has cameos from most of the other characters in the series like Halle Berry as Storm, Scott and Jean and ties up all the loose ends and questions asked by the previous films.
