X-Men
Born into a world filled with prejudice are children who possess extraordinary powers - the result of unique genetic mutations. Under the tutelage of Professor X (Patrick Stewart), the outcasts learn to harness their powers and must now protect mankind from the evil Magneto (Ian McKellen). This first chapter of the X-Men saga features an all-star cast, including Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin and Rebecca Romijn.

X-Men 2
Hatred and distrust brew between human and mutantkind. An unprovoked mutant attack on the President gives General William Stryker (Brian Cox) his long-awaited opportunity to wage all-out war against the mutants.
A war that would leave only one race victorious. Xavier (Patrick Stewart), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Storm (Halle Berry) and the other X-Men must unite with their old adversary Magneto (Ian McKellen) to prevent a devastating confrontation that could destroy everyone on the planet.
In X-Men 2, acclaimed director Bryan Singer delivers state-of-the-art special effects, explosive action and one twist after another. X-Men 2 takes excitement to the Xtreme!

X-Men: The Last Stand
The third installment in the X-Men films: The divide between humans and mutants has gotten to a crucial point when a cure to irradiate mutations is found. Pushing patience to the limit in the mutant community, the line has been drawn and Professor X needs to decide which path to follow.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Beastly badass Wolverine (Jackman) is a member of elite military squadron Team X. But when he tries to leave violence behind to become a family man, he finds his past catching up with him in brutal fashion - not least his carnage-loving half-brother Sabretooth (Schreiber).

X-Men: First Class
See how it all began in this thrilling first chapter of the X-Men saga.
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr became Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were enemies, they were the closest of friends and gathered an elite team of mutants to form the X-Men in an attempt to prevent World War 3!

The Wolverine
This stand-alone epic-action adventure set in modern day Japan reveals the untold story of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character from the X-Men universe, and evolves the character saga to new levels of depth, intensity and visceral action.
Out of his depth in an unknown world he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle than will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than ever before.

This is an absolutely brilliant deal for six good to great films.

From the original X-Men which kickstarted the past 15 years of superhero films, right through to First Class, which successfully rebooted the series, this collection entertains all the way through.

Yes, there are a couple of disappointments (X-Men 3: Last Stand and Origins: Wolverine) but even these are more than watchable and the good outweighs the bad.

If you want to spend a day or two watching some cracking films, you could do far worse.

Excellent Collection and got it at a very good Lightning Deal price so couldn't resist. Shame that some of the eextra features seem less than I would have hoped but thats a minor gripe. Picture quality and overall collection top notch. Solid four stars.

This is an IMMENSELY great deal for a box set. I bought it for 12.5 GBP. I mean you are getting 6 movies for such a small price. And most of those 6 movies are good.

The box set contains all of the X-men movies except for the most recent i.e Days of the future past. A little bit about each movie you get:

X-men (2000): The first X-men movie directed by Bryan Singer back when good comic book movies were a very rare sight. Starring great actors like Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian Mckellen, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry, this really showed the world what superhero/comic book movies could be like if done properly. I loved it as a child and even after all those years, it holds up pretty well and I still love it.

X2 (2003): Bryan Singer returned to direct this and delivered yet again another great superhero movie. Great sequels are a rarity and this was better than the first one in almost every way. Better action, better character development, better plot etc. Re-watching it again reminded my how great it was.

X-Men: The last Stand (2006): Bryan Singer didn't direct this one and so it was obviously not as good as the first two movies. Bigger budget allowed for bigger set pieces and fights but the movie ruined the famous 'Pheonix' saga of the Xmen comics, along with many other things. Still, I still like it to some extent.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine(2009): The weakest X-men movie in my opinion. I don't know how they messed this up as wolverine is a really interesting character and Hugh Jackman does an excellent job portraying him but this movie was simply not good. The action was lazy and not that good, the CGI was horrible (Even the claws looked fake as s***), plot wasn't interesting nor were the secondary characters and everything felt rushed.

WOW! I have just finished watching this saga for the first time and it was amazing! Having just gotten properly into the Xmen franchise, these films were a must have and each one is very unique and gripping due to both story and characters. I highly recommend watching these if you are a fan of action films/superhero films or just love anything Marvel!

I love X-Men movies, the box set is a must have for X-Men movies goer, but not sure what is the main objectives for them to mix the discs with Region B and most of them are Region All.
I order a set for myself and the set arrived on time, when I start watching the movies, only realised that X-Men: First Class is classed under Region B, which can not be played in Asian Coutries. What a waste that I need to source for other resources to get the movies X-Men: First Class under Region All.

For $35 it's the best value BluRay set I've ever bought. There's a 3D Wolverine BluRay in the set also, which not all versions of this box set contain. I'd never seen any of the movies before buying this and have only watched the first two so far but I already feel like it was a good buy. The production values are first-rate - these are big budget films ahead of their time - when you look at the one that came out in 2002, it looks more like a 2009 release.

Maybe I'm getting old but on the second time round of these men films, they are just too formulaic and lack any real substance or depth. Pure un-memorable action . Good value though if you buy it on discount and can purchase the last movie cheaply. At time of purchase it works out cheaper to buy this set and the future past separately.
