Format: Hardcover
Stunning egg tempura illustrations by one of America's finest. Wyeth gives us a peek of his train of thought by including many preliminary sketches. A must have for the master and the apprentice of the arts.

HASH(0x90067714) out of 5 stars One of the Wonderful Wyeth Books 20 Oct. 2005
By David Adams - Published on
Format: Hardcover
This is one of the wonderful Wyeth books. As difficult as it is to reproduce Andrew Wyeth's masterly paintings and drawings (a truly impossible job) this large volume gives one at least a taste of his genius. It is like going out on his artistic journeys with him sketchbook in hand. You get to see masterworks from the first pencil drawings to the finished product. I am amazed that you can pick this one up at such a low price these days, but maybe everyone who loves Wyeth already has this book. I paid $50 for a copy and thought I was fortunate. It is a must buy book for every serious watercolorist. Wyeth opens your eyes to the world.

HASH(0x90067738) out of 5 stars Follow the sketches to finished painting 30 Jan. 2010
By B Gingersnap - Published on
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
When I visited the Brandywine Museum in Chads Ford, PA, I took the tour to
visit the Kuerner Farm. I actually saw the places shown in this book. It is
amazing to see Andrew Wyeth's development from sketch to finished painting.
Our local library has this as a reference book which can not be checked out.
I was delighted to find a copy on Amazon. Andrew Wyeth is truly an Ameriacn
treasure. This book focuses on a huge segment of his journey.
HASH(0x90067720) out of 5 stars A must for any Wyeth fan 13 July 2015

If you like the work of the late Andrew Wyeth, you will thoroughly enjoy this book. A collection of sketches, studies and works of art made at Keurner's farm show how the artist evolved his thinking and composition in steps, finally arriving at the final product of his many well known works. The book is presented as a walk through the Keurner's farm, stopping to view the places and objects that inspired the artist. The works, collected by the artists' wife, Betsy, are presented around this theme making the voyage for the reader very graphic and complete. Through the artwork included the reader travels the farm with Wyeth, sees what he saw and how he interprets, alters and rearranges what is there to express his vision.

My copy of Wyeth at Kuerners came in the condition described and on time. I was very pleased with the book's condition and getting it in a prompt manner. I would recommend this service. The Wyeth book is also one on the best on his work. It has an abundance of preliminary drawings and watercolor sketches that truly show off Wyeth's techniques and thinking processes in making his art.
