5.0 out of 5 stars www.pitchshifter.com, 22 Jan 2003

I got this album having only heard the likes of 'genius'. You could say that i was mad, but still to this day it was one of the best things i have ever done. The raw energy that they put into the music, and the guitar to die for all add to a very individual sound. No band before or coming later can ever claim to sound like pitch shifter. A mixture of drum 'n' base, metal and punk, making them a band that almost any body could find a liking for.
Tracks that stick out within this album are: 'microwaved', 'genius', 'please sir' and 'w.y.s.i.w.y.g.'
They even add some samples onto the end of this album so that you can make your own tunes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Screaming rhythms, guitars and vocals in narrow brilliance, 13 Sep 2000

'The Shifter' speed things up from their previous album Infotainment to create near mayhem.....Plenty of shouting if that's your thing, but the intelligent lyrics do make sense too. Brilliantly original, although every song gives you the same kind of buzz. Not much variety then, but nearly good enough not tobother with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Brilliant Must-Buy, 20 Feb 2001
This review is from: Www.Pitchshifter.Com (Audio CD)
There are so many useless bands with record contracts, yet MCA cant provide room for the best British band currently operating. Imagine Johnny Rotten fronting the Prodigy with lyrics written by Jello Biafra. Hardcore d'n'b, crunching guitars, moody synths. A heavy kick up the arse for punk in the 20th Century. God Save The Queen. PSI have lift-off.
