In a desperate attempt to get a Stone Cold fix since he left the WWF earlier this year, I bought this DVD. I missed his skits and segments, some of which were hilarious. And if you feel the same way, then you will want this DVD.

It starts at Wrestlemania X-7, with his match against the Rock. From there onwards, there is no real order of events that the DVD follows. We jump back to No Way Out 2001 with his 2 out of 3 falls match with HHH (this match is shown in full as an extra. Good match it is too.) We see footage of Austin in WCW, and interviews with people talking about him in that federation. Little parts are shown of his feuds with Benoit, HHH and the Rock, and there is (surprisingly for a WWF DVD,) a lot of actual wrestling shown, as opposed to footage of someone cutting a promo.

Towards the second half of the main feature, which lasts a little over an hour, more talking and less wrestling is shown, but this is where the best part of the DVD comes in. We get to see some of those infamous, and hilarious segments involving Mr McMahon, Austin and Angle backstage, playing the guitar, trying on cowboy hats and hugging each other. It's good to see these bits again, as they were the highlight of the invasion angle, although I feel more could of been shown. They could of been put in as an extra maybe.

Little, nay, nothing is shown of the invasion angle that took place last year, apart from McMahon begging Austin to return to the hell-raising man he once was, to fight the alliance. The invasion angle was poor, but perhaps more could of been shown on this.

Other highlights include Austin's appearance on MadTV, his "problems" with the camera guy, and what happens after the show. This bit is quite interesting, as we see Austin playing around with the audience once the cameras have stopped rolling. Most of it is really quite funny. As is how the whole "WHAT?!" thing came about. Very strange really.

The extras are good, although as with most WWF DVDs, minimal. Austin v Ricky Steamboat at "Bash at the Beach" '94, V HHH from No Way Out, and his interview following his King of the Ring triumph in 1996. Other, very small extras, include an interview with Arn Anderson, a talk about the wildlife on Austin's ranch, the camera guy interview, an interview with Austin about the origins of 3:16, and an interview with J.R. at the ranch again.

Overall good, but the main feature is in no real order, which can become confusing after a while. More could have been shown of the invasion angle, and Austin's need to be praised and loved. Austin appreciattion night would have been nice to see again, but none of this is unfortunately, and that's why I only give this a 4 stars. That and the fact I wanted more of the humourous skits between Angle, Vince and Austin, although the ones on here make this DVD a must own anyway.

WHAT? WHAT? 25 Aug 2010
Great little dvd highlighting Stone Cold Steve Austin's awesome career during the year 2001. We even get to see some detailed clips from some of his great matches e.g. when he faced the Rock in a classic at WrestleMania X-7.

We even get to see some of Austin's funny moments with Vince McMahon as Austin sings a song with a guitar.

The two matches offered in this dvd which are Austin's match with HHH from No Way Out 2001 and his match with Ricky Steamboat from Bash at the Beach 1994.

It perhaps would have been a bit better if more matches were on the dvd but we get some more bonus footage about Austin's ranch and we get a short promo from King of the Ring 1996.

Overall a wonderful dvd which will have you entertained from start to finish.
