About the Author

Wrongboy (or Will Bishop-Stephens, as his mother calls him) grew up in Cornwall, has a BA in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art and specializes in sculpture. He says of "Wrongboy's History of Earth", "The science in this book is mostly rubbish - however, there is a spirit of inquiry in it which could well rub off on the reader, leading them to research the facts and find them equally implausible."

5.0 out of 5 stars A Peculiar book of Lies & Inaccuracies, 6 Nov 2004
I saw the short film that Wrongboy did on the Depict website about a Giant Shrew called Pooky and thought it was excellent. (Take a look fo yourself!) So when I saw this book was available I had to rush out and buy it.
The style is similar to the film but a bit more light on the mood, with amusing little loveable characters that seem to wander around the pages of the book having inane and irreverant chats to one another.
The little drawings are silly and childlike and this matches the humour of the book which I can hold similar to Eddie Izzard in style, a bit drifting, dreamy and yet all at once, sharp as a very VERY sharp knife... yes.
So if your humour level falls into this kinda' daft sillyness and you think mice like wearing newt costumes and ruling earth, you should definitely have a look at this book. I was laughing till the laughter had evolved into and elephant and wandered off to find a new master...
