DVD Description

One Wrong Turn deserves another. Acclaimed director Joe Lynch paints the screen red in this jump-out-of-your-seat sequel to the popular horror hit. Starring Erica Leerhsen (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and hardcore rock icon Henry Rollins (Feast), Wrong Turn 2 unleashes its deformed bunch of inbred cannibals on another set of unsuspecting individuals, resulting in a gory bloodbath. Six contestants led by the headstrong Nina Papas (Leerhsen) assemble in the desolate woodlands of West Virginia to take part in the latest US reality show. Over the next five days they must battle against the elements in a simulated wasteland to see who will emerge the ultimate survivor and pocket the $100,000 first prize. But the participants are soon fighting for survival in even deadlier game when they encounter a family of flesh-hungry mutants intent of having them for dinner...

Synopsis

WRONG TURN 2 takes similar backwoods horror flicks like TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and THE HILLS HAVE EYES as its inspiration, providing visceral thrills aplenty, the requisite amount of dumb teenage characters, and the always entertaining former Black Flag singer Henry Rollins in a leading role. The sequel focuses on the inbred mother and father characters who are parents to the villains of the first film. In this instalment, the creepy duo plague the contestants of a SURVIVOR-like reality series when they get lost in the dreaded backwoods.

Take a horrid collection of celebrity wannabees, dump them in a forest as part of a reality survival show and... oops! Did I forget to mention a family of hillbilly inbred mutants who live there? Any way mix well and massacre with loads of really top blood letting f/x. I'm a Celebrity Disembowel Me! It's all really good fun 'cos you want them all TO DIE! Enjoy.

I really enjoyed the first film and was quite excited about seeing the follow-up. Not much happens in the first half hour to be honest, but after that the action really begins. However, for me this film just didnt deliver the same excitement as the first film. Some of the scenes in the earlier part of the film such as the cast filming the contestents was annoying and cheesy. There was nothing particularly original in this film to make it stand out from any other horror really. It kind of reminded me of a weaker cut of the Hills have eyes 2005 or Severance.

i love the original wrong turn and it is one of my fave movies and i was dreading watching the second installment...BUT i have to say i absolutely LOVED it!!!it gets right down to business from the opening scenes...it is really fast paced and not at all predictable..it set my nerves on edge as i was constantly wondering who was gonna get it next..the finale is nail biting!!!!!!

please give this film a go,especially at these prices,you honestly cant go wrong!!!
