Nomeanso have got to be one of the best, most original bands, that as always never got the recognition they truly deserved. It's true to say some of their work is not for the musically challenged. From Rob Wright's throbbing opening bass on 'It's Catching Up' to highlights such as 'The Tower' and 'On No Bruno!' the album is a blistering punk rawk album with your typical jazz, blues fusions only Nomeansno can throw in the mix. In it's new re-issued format you get the additional 'power of positive thinking' e.p. sans Manic Depression and the Mr. Wrong (Rob Wright solo) single 'State of Grace'. 5 stars and then some for one of the best albums from one of the most inventive bands around. Catch them on their European tour starting in June.

Even for a band that are renound for their super tight, roller-coaster bass lines this albuum punches above it's weight. There is an both an elegance and ferocity at work in all of these tracks that is backed by their dry idiosyncratic humour.I have been lucky enough (and am old enough) to have seen them play live on a few ocassions, and at times they were jaw -droppingly good. That syncronisity and potency comes across very well on this record. I would gladly recomend this to you.

An utter bloody joy from start to finish. Maybe the best NMN album. A fantastic showcase for one of the most unique bands of our age. Its dark, funny, frantic and even tender in parts. Its the album that makes NoMeansNo your favourite band. Listen to "The End of all Things" at top notch. See how much fun pessermism can be.

This record oozes creativity and subversion.
So if you can be wrong, be strong cuz only sheep need a leader.

Is this the greatest album ever recorded?

If its not I want to hear the one that beats it.
