5.0 out of 5 stars I hope my competitors don't read this book 22 Dec 2012

Ms. Jones writes so succinctly that this is the only book you will need for writing for the web. I design and code websites for small businesses (including our own) and have read many articles about writing for the web, but this is the only resource I've found with good, concrete examples that I can translate into action.

As a matter of fact, when I decided to buy a book on the topic, I downloaded samples from 3 books to my Kindle. This was the only one that got right to the point. (The others started out with the usual "blah, blah" fluff.) I bought the book and was not disappointed. The entire book gets to the point, and I am on my second reading to absorb more.

Ms. Jones mentions Steve Krug's book "Don't Make Me Think" about web usability, which I read a few years ago, and found invaluable. Consider "Writing for the Web: 7 steps to web copy that works" as a companion book, with the two comprising "must reads" if you are going to work with websites at all.

This is a great resource for those accustomed to writing offline and needing to adjust their style for web projects.
