Our company needed to gain both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation, both of which needed certain processes to be documented. Richard's book gave us everything we needed to undertake the task and successfully gain both accreditations. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a simple approach to process documentation.

Sitting down to read 'Writing Business Processes' was a daunting prospect - an area about which I did not know a lot but needed to get to grips with for a specific project. However the author, Richard Gandon, actually makes this a real learning experience and an enjoyable one at that. The book is clear and concise and was incredibly helpful in coming to grips with a subject which is usually the remit of a few very specialised folk, but which I now feel confident to tackle on my own. It is also a useful hands on reference tool as you're going about the task of building processes and I suspect this book will be a valuable part of my own business development 'toolkit' going forward. I highly recommend it.

I first reviewed this book just after its publication and my copy is now dog-earred through frequent use. Not a book for bedtime reading, rather something for the desk where it can be dipped into frequently. Obviously written from first hand, practical experience this is an essential book for beginner and those with in-depth programme knowledge and is a must for any aspiring programme manager.

Follow the processes and try it out for yourself.

First used this book at a previous workplace. The paperback version had excellent content and some playful graphics which I found particularly helpful. We required a copy for reference and the Kindle version is more practical for current needs. I checked the Kindle comments and was concerned by Jeremy's comment regarding the poor formatting, but noting the author's `revision' response, I took a chance and downloaded it.

Without having seen the pre revision version, the formatting now seems fine to me, though a couple of highly detailed images would probably benefit from a larger tablet or laptop. However, the excellent content certainly meets my needs and has given me everything I need to initiate and undertake a business process improvement project.

This is a thorough guide to getting your business processes documented and in use but the formatting of the book on a kindle is frustrating.

There are missing images, lots of random empty rectangles, formatting problems that make lists and tables unclear, and many of the images are too low resolution to be able to read the text they contain.

Such a let down considering how comprehensive the book is.
