Downloaded the digital trial version which is virtually identical to this retail. Very padded out with unnecessary stuff. The actual meat of the program, the storyline creator/ editor could be ok but very frustrating to use. There is not even a reference in how to start a new chapter in the help and instruction section. There is a feeling that as this is writers cafe 2, that you should know this. There is a lot of trial and error to get anywhere. An example story loaded in would help. The actual writing area for your creative efforts is cramped and awkward to use, needing a lot of customization. It seems to be an afterthought to all the bolt on junk.

I purchased this product with trepidation after reading a large number of reviews slating the interface and learning curve. All those reviews are justified as this is a damn frustrating product to use. There's very little in the way of a user guide and the best way to learn how to use it appears to be to simply have a go.
I've now worked it out and discovered that it actually does everything I need it to without hesitation. And while the interface can still be a little cluttered at times, everything I need is always to hand.
If you're the kind of person who shouts at inanimate objects or throw stuff in anger then I'd say steer clear but If you've got the time to sit down and work this thing out then I'd say it's worth your hard earned british pound.
