This book is a great guide to writing, publishing and selling your book on kindle. It covers everything from how to get ideas, 3 different methods of writing and then some very canny and cheap ways to get book coves and editing.

It then covers enrolling in KDP and different methods to get publicity for your book.

This is an easy pleasant read that has got it all covered, highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars The complete guide to becoming a self-published author on Kindle 20 Oct 2012
By Shmaya David - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I rate books according to the ratio of solid information and good ideas to the volume of text, and this one get a triple A. The writer, MZ, took a complex task and broke it down to simple, easily understood elements. Every step is explained in simple terms and straightforward language, and the sequence will take you from the very first 'searching for ideas' to post-promotion steady sales marketing.

I liked the way MZ made the chapters short and concise. Each chapters contains an explanation - WHAT this step is all about and WHY do it in a certain way, than HOW to do it. In most cases, MZ also added links to useful resources that will make the 'doing' part even faster, and often cheaper (If you haven't yet used fiver.com, this book will convince you that you should).

I recommend this book to anyone wishing to become a self-published author on Kindle. If you are willing to do the work, this book will take you there, easy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Succinct Overview of Kindle Publishing and Marketing 2 Nov 2012
By Anna Fussell - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was quite wonderfully surprised by this Kindle book. I have an older Kindle, and couldn't click the links, so I downloaded the free Kindle app from Amazon, and was I ever glad I did. The information obtained by clicking through her links was superb. This is an easy to read book and really formatted well.

You are not going to get lots of technical detail here. The point is, that being a self publisher is a very big undertaking, and you want all the shortcuts you can get. This is a fabulous way to go. I heartily endorse this book, and suggest you follow her suggestions.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great book for beginners with some nuggets of gold 26 Oct 2012
By Mia Montagliani - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The author takes an authentic look at her own experiences and discusses what did and didn't work for her.

I have written, published and marketed books on kindle. I have done kindle and marketing courses; much of what I knew was in this book. So, I was pleased to find new nuggets that would help me market my book. I really liked the chapter on maintaining sales after a free promotion.

The tools and links to helpful websites etc are really fabulous (thank you!) - this book is like a road map with some great, useful pointers along the way. The tips serve a dual purpose of decreasing publishing and marketing costs and maximising promotion.

If you're looking for a book that tells kindle publishing like it is, then this book is for you. Other books of this kind are hyped and full of crazy promises of getting rich on kindle. This book is a sincere effort to guide the aspiring author to give book publishing a good go.

I will defintely be using some new things I learned from this book and you will too.

Although I learned a few things, I felt that many points could have been expanded. Also, I would suggest the author find a good editor.
