5.0 out of 5 stars great fun 9 Jun 2012

I loved this book so much that I went in search of Elle Casey's other books. Four teenagers are thrown together on a family cruise. Two of the coolest at school with two who are considered dorky, nerdy. I loved the way the characters interacted and you saw the different strengths come out in times of adversity. Well written and I literally just hated finishing the book as I was enjoying it that much. Loved the ending too which I can't say much about without giving spoilers. Go buy this book its going to be one of my favourites for a long long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great story 30 Sep 2012
By Mole TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The main characters involved are teenagers; one pair the children of a successful business man, the couple that the whole school wants to be like, the other pair the children of a software developer; the "outsiders" that few even want to talk to. An accident leaves them stuck together on a Carribean island, with only their own skills to keep them alive until rescued.

This story is a variation on the theme of "The Swiss Family Robinson". There is also a nod towards "The Admirable Crichton" with the way that each finds his or her place according to their ability as part of the group. With the number of similar stories already available, you would think that there is little that could be added to this plotline; but it does stand out on its own very well with its more modern approach.

It is extremely well written; I found it hard to put down. The story is compelling, the descriptions really well put together and the overall plot very well structured. The characters grow and mature very quickly within the narrative and becoming fully rounded individuals that it becomes easy to identify with.

This is a really excellent book, well worth reading and suitable for even the younger teenagers. I would certainly look out for more books by this author.

Good story, cross between a teen romance and shipwrecked/Swiss family Robinson but from a cruise ship. Interesting read and will wait to get sequel at reasonable price

I couldn't wait to finish this book and am amazed that it has attracted so many positive reviews! It's boringly predictable and childlike!

3.0 out of 5 stars Slow to start
Not a well written book to begin with, it quickly builds up speed and style as the story develops. A decent beach read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bit predictable
I enjoyed the story but it was a bit corny. The clever one the bitch the hunk and the nice one. Bit like a team building session. They all fall in love with.
