Short and sharp, this is an action packed movie that just doesn't give you time to draw breath or blink an eye until somewhere like the 90th minute when Bill Nighy throws a little bit of light-heartedness into the otherwise serious goings-on with what is a fairly easy-to-follow plot which carrys on about 10 years after the previous film left off and has horrible Hades,(played marvellously by Ralph Fiennes)and Ares(Edgar Ramirez) having captured Zeus(Liam Neeson)This results in the hero of the film Perseus having to go to Hell, quite literally, to make his rescue attempt of his father. Of course all the Monsters and Titans including Cyclops,Kronos and Makhai are released onto the World as revenge. The beautiful English Rose, Rosamund Pike plays Andromeda.A good value film!

'Perseus' (Sam Worthington) ( Half God/ Half Mortal, son of zeus ) has since killing the 'Kraken' 10 years ago chosen to live among mortals bringing up his son 'Helius' (John Bell)
'Zeus' (Liam Neeson) asks for his son's support to fight off the evil threat posed by his other son, the powerful 'Ares' (Edgar Ramires) along with Zeus's Brother 'Hades' (Ralph Fiennes) ( Lord of the Underworld )
'Perseus' is reluctant to help, until, he hears that 'Ares' and 'Hades' have captured his father...........the evil pair intending to drain 'Zeus' of his power to free the 'all powerfull' 'Kronos' from his imprisoned state.
If 'Kronos' is revived, the world would be under threat from his powers.
'Perseus' with the help from 'Agenor' (Toby Kebbell) ( Son of Poseidon ) and warrior princess 'Andromeda' (Rosamund Pike) set out to find their way into the Underworld, however they will need help unlocking the secrets of it's Labyrinth.
A battle awaits them....
Great watch, great visuals, which more than makes up for the weak dialog.............for me---this is why we own 'HD' equipment and 3-D.

I was amazed they were making this film after the bad reviews Clash of the Titans got so I was a bit apprehensive about seeing it (even though I thought Clash of the Titans was good). I didn't need to be worried. This film rejoins Perseus and his son. Perseus is called upon by his father Zeus as the Gods are starting to lose their power and Hades is trying to release the titans who will destroy the earth.
I thought the film over all was very good and I am looking forward to getting it on DVD when it comes out.

Why all the negative reviews? i found this to be most ENTERTAINING 96 mins of pure escapism, filled with spectacular ACTION scenes, the special fx are outstanding so is the 3D. It is 1 of the best 3D blu ray releases out there with depth & pop out in front of you action.. The cast put in there usual performances (wooden) but dont let that put you off, if you like "CLASH" you will enjoy "WRATH", keep your eyes peeled for a cameo again by BUBO the Gold mechanical Owl.. "GO NOW & BUY WELL WORTH 10"

My rating of three stars for this movie isn't intended as a massive criticism, I enjoyed the film but only insofar as it was a pretty mindless montage of great battles and set-pieces with a variety of mythical monsters. It would have been even better with some semblance of a decent plot, as well as a lead actor who was a little more animated than a block of balsa wood - sorry Sam Worthington fans, but he hasn't improved on his one-dimensional performance in Clash Of The Titans [DVD] [2010], and the presence of acting luminaries such as Liam Neeson (Zeus), Ralph Fiennes (Hades), and even the ubiquitous Bill Nighy (Hephaestus), only throws this into sharper relief.
Anyway, it is what it is, and the effects are pretty impressive - with the possible exception of the potentially awesome Cyclops' and the 'blink and you'll miss him' Minotaur.
