I bought these with low expectations based on other reviews, but for the price I thought if nothing else they would thrill my 9 year old daughter. I don't paint my nails because I am a mother of three and by the end of the day my polish is banged up and looks icky. I wanted to try these when I saw them at a local Walmart but was put off by the $9 price tag. These are not the same kind but are basically foil stickers so they aren't going to dry out like I've heard the Sally Hanson brand does.
They come together wrapped in plastic and packing tape in a Manila envelope. Product claims to last up to 11 days. The directions on this product advise 'for removal, wash hands in warm soapy water.' My initial though was 'who doesn't was their hands for 11 days!?!?'. So I put clear coat over them in the hopes they would stick around longer. Another reviewer stated that the clear coat made the foil ripple, and it did a little around the edges. Not a deal killer for me. You don't notice it unless your right up in there inspecting the nails.
It has now been two days and I still have pretty nails. I've gotten many compliments from strangers, and even my hairdresser. They all seemed shocked when I told them I did them myself!
My advise for the best outcome is to wash your nails well to get oils off, use sharp scissors to trim the foils, and maybe get a buddy if you are dominated by one hand (I had to get my husband to help me a little). File gently to remove excess edges. Used a couple top coats to seal.
Overall, price is a factor here and I would buy this again.
