Product Description

Product Description

Making gorgeous handcrafted jewellery can be an amazingly simple process that even beginners will quickly master - as long as they have this guide by their side. Written by an experienced artist and teacher and generously illustrated with attractive how-to photographs and drawings, it demonstrates a wealth of easy techniques in superb detail. 20 dazzling projects - including a twisted wire choker, bangle bracelet, bead pod pin and mixed metal earrings - are created by wrapping, stitching, and folding metal and by making cold connections with basic screws, bolts, pop rivets, eyelets, brads and nails. Sophisticated photographs of each piece highlight its rich textures and visual complexity. Would-be jewellers will love this - and beaders, memory crafters and anyone eager to explore metal jewellery will want it, too!

A bit different... 1 Feb 2009
Format:Hardcover
...from all the other cold connection technique books out there. The jewellery is mainly handmade (not masses of found object) and the projects are stylish. The methods of joining include many unusual techniques which are simple, effective and have lots of potential uses, though many of the projects are repeats of the same processes over and over again. I'd still recommend it. At least most of the contents are different from what's in the other Lark Books (there's an awful lot of 'cut & pasting' going on between the books I've noticed)

Unchallenging 14 Oct 2010
Format:Hardcover
I was really quite disappointed with this book. It's front cover even suggests a more interesting content. The level of skill required for this book is really quite low and I was certainly uninspired. Maybe if your new to metals or taking it up as more of a hobby this book would be suitable.
