I purchased this to take on holiday for something to do when I didn't feel like reading. I wouldn't class this as a toy as such. It's very challenging, plenty of options & does what it's supposed to do, train your brain! I thought it would be a doddle but you really have to concentrate on some tests, I have only attempted the easy tests so far but you do need peace & quiet to concentrate, (hard work in my house)!! However it's one of those things that you just "have to beat" very addictive.

Purchased for the older relative, this Mensa brain trainer seemed quite handy but you definitely do need to concentrate and do it when you're sober! It does make you really think about what you are doing and keeps score so you can compete against yourself later on. You do need to read the instructions though, which I didn't when i had a go! Comes without AAA batteries so make sure you buy some too. Recommended, and good value for the price.

I'm very disappointed with this item. The screen, even at highest contrast, is very difficult to view so I spend more time squinting at the screen trying to read it than I do solving the problems. The touch screen aspect is poorly responsive so the first tap is often not recognised and a fail recorded.
This should have been supplied with a large hammer rather than a stylus.
