Why so expensive? its not exactly a new release.
I have this on DVD and would really like to get this on blu-ray :(
Come on Amazon, a bit less price gouging on kids titles would be nice.

Disclaimer: I am a 42 year old who happens to like family animations. So buying movies such as this for myself, not for kids :)

Almost two years on and it's £14. Disgraceful.

I now tend to import the USA Combo-Packs.

I bought mine recently at £8.59 + £1.26 postage from marketplace seller All Your Music.

DVD is R1. BD is Regions A, B & C.

I may NEVER buy BD from Disney UK again!

After spending a fortune on three copies of The Avengers on UK edited BD (the Sainsbury's Exclusive with bonus documentary disc), UK edited DVD & uncut USA combo-pack they have lost my custom for the foreseeable future! If I'd known the film was cut then I would just have bought the USA release!

The USA often get more extras, interactive content/games, the original theatrical soundtrack, 7.1 surround on certain films where 5.1 is offered in Europe, audio commentary, a second 2D BD containing extras, a nice lenticular slipcase, etc. It varies by title. Do some research.

At this point most Disney BDs are region free anyway.

I mostly buy from the USA amazon site and pay for one of the two faster shipping options. Depending on how many items are in my cart and the difference between postage rates I may choose to lump a whole host of varying titles together to save on import fees (on these higher cost options you pre-pay an import fees deposit at the checkout stage) thus taking Royal Mail/Parcel Force out of the process and eliminating unnecessary delays at UK Customs!

In this case though Chicken Little 2D is as of 2013 still the 2007 version of the disc even if the case states otherwise.

The BD-3D version reportedly has DTS-MA 5.1 whereas the 2D version offers lossless uncompressed PCM 5.1 or lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 English soundtracks.

The DVD is R1 coded but all BDs 2007-2013 2D & 2011 3D are regions A, B, & C coded.

If you really need the 3D version import from Amazon USA and choose your costs wisely!

I think the 2D one for under a tenner via marketplace here at amazon UK is better value but then, I cannot see 3D content and didn't need it!

Note that the USA version has an audio commentary on the 2D discs.

All R1 2D DVDs are R1 since the original release.

All 2D BDs are as 2007 release no matter if you choose 2007 or 2011 (but mine says 2013 on the back - same disc though with no changes).

It's a personal choice what it is that you consider most important.

I recently purchased the following Region 1 DVD with Region Free BD (s) combo-pack titles from the USA - Monsters University 2D 3 disc (bonus disc available from Sainsbury's in the UK), Brave 2D 3 disc & Cars 2 5 disc Ultimate Collector's Edition with 1X DVD/2X 2D BD Feature plus Bonus/1X BD 3D & 1X USA Only Disney-File Digital Copy (no use to us in the UK). Cars 2 5 disc had a lenticular slipcover, initial pressings of Monsters University & Brave had a card embossed slipcover. Note Brave also has a combo pack including the 3D version as well but it really isn't worth the extra $10!

Good luck to you.
