Would this work on standard bt line not fibre line ?

You would need a separate ADSL modem to plug into the N66U to get it to work on a BT line.

Yes, but it needs a modem - the tp link one which Amazon recommends with it is more than up to the job. If you read through the reviews here on Amazon there is lots of good advice on how to set it all up.

I can't see any reason why not, it just wouldn't replace the modem you have. Basically, instead of plugging into a pc you would plug your modem into the router and then use it as your main network.

It does not double as an adsl function on its own though.
