3.0 out of 5 stars Very good, shame about the aftersales service 16 Jun 2011
Bought one of these about 16 months ago and found the suction aspect of the device to be fairly good considering the size of mower in use. I rarely used the blowing function as I find it pointless chasing leaves etc. around the garden.

The bag on this device is connected to the main aparatus by means of a large, plastic, round bayonet fitting and this is the weakness that I have found.

Where the bag attaches to the said bayonet fitting the seam of the bag is uppermost when the device is in use, hence, as the bag fills all the weight of the bag in its expanded state hangs off the seam. Eventually, the seam gives way and a hole appears in the bag that is not possible to mend as it abutts to the plastic bayonet fitting.

I have checked around varioous places to purchase a new bag and nowhere seems to have such and item; I contacted Worx via their web page and filled in a request form and received no answer. I then called them and received very little assistance being passed around like the proverbial buck until, eventually, I was told "we don't make one, you'll have to buy another".

Not on your nelly mate! If I can add one useful tip to this it would be, before you buy any of these devices, check you can the spares.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bonsai 11 Sep 2013
Bought this couple years ago from Argos. At just under 5' and ageing rapidly, I was looking for lightweight collector which would reduce my huge collection of oak, acacia, birch, cherry + shrub leaves (we have an acre of trees/shrubs). It does job well but yes I do have to ask for help to remove bag sometimes as coupling tightens and it's a bit fiddly positioning it for my height. I used it again last week and the shredding was a bit erratic so perhaps beginning to weaken but collection still good. If machine stops working for any reason this autumn, I'd feel I had my money's worth and I'd buy another as it's served me well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Efficient and good value 5 Nov 2013
I bought this on recommendation from a friend and I'm pretty happy with it's performance. The vacuum and mulching function saves a lot of hassle and hopefully the mulched leaves will help my flower beds too! It's also lightweight which is a bonus if you're using it for more than 10 mins.
Only thing I didn't like so much was the on/off switch and power control, which are a bit fiddly, but other than I would really recommend to anyone wanting to take the back ache out of leaf clearance.

2.0 out of 5 stars Similar Problem 17 Sep 2012
I too purchased this blower/vac and like the previous reviewer I also had a problem with the collecting bag. On my vac the zipping mechanism split therefore although the rest of the blower/vac is still working it looks destined for the tip due to the short lifespan of the collecting bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even picks up damp leaves! 29 Oct 2013
Great product, cleared my garden of leaves in 10 minutes, even managed to pick up damp leaves! The blower is really powerful, the vacuum is good but not as powerful. Most of my garden tools are from Worx (Lawn Mower, Strimmer, Hedge Trimmers etc), and I would recommend them, and this product. Fairly inexpensive, and good for small gardens.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worx until you need spares 19 Nov 2012
Quite a good blower vac, I have had mine for over a year but need a new impeller ( the part which shreds and mulches the garden waste)but it is not covered by Worx's limited warranty. Worx dont supply spares, they refer you to another company's website. It has been out of stock for several weeks . Dont buy Worx unless you plan to throw away the product if it stops working as the after sales service from Worx is useless.WORX WG500E Blower 240V

3.0 out of 5 stars Stitching problem 23 April 2014
Verified Purchase
Read many comments on the poor quality stitching on the bag. Still decided to purchase as felt confident Worx would have corrected this obvious fault. UNFORTUNATELY THEY HAVE NOT. Used twice (and only briefly) and yes stitching failed. Any manufacturer who ignores such an obvious problem really deserves to go out of business. I will repair myself but due to this I would not recommend.
