Product Description

Amazon Review

New York Times bestselling author Lisa Kleypas has another winner on her hands with Worth Any Price, the follow-up to Lady Sophia's Lover. Fans and new readers alike will love the fast-paced plot, compelling characters, high-octane sensuality, and the well-drawn English setting.

Bow Street runner Nick Gentry is a complex man with a dark and tortured history and beautiful Charlotte Howard is a woman running from her past. Neither Nick nor Charlotte are wholly what they seem, for each have secrets too painful to reveal and each has chosen to hide behind a false identity. Once they're drawn into each other's worlds, they're forced to face difficult truths and are compelled to acknowledge the passion that burns between them. For Charlotte, "the challenge of taming him, matching his powerful will with her own, was too tempting to resist." For Nick, "..if he could not have her, this endless feeling of being hungry, unsatisfied, cold, would never leave him." But will their love be enough to defeat the obsessed nobleman that covets Charlotte and the thirst for danger that tempts Nick, or is their future together doomed by the pain of their past? --Lois Faye Dyer, Amazon.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth a read 19 Feb 2003
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Lisa Kleypas revisits the characters of Lady Sophias's Lover in this novel, but does it with infinate skill. The focus is on Sophia's brother known as Nick Gantry.
From the first chapter it was intriguing. Nick is portrayed as a bad boy with a past personal trauma that makes him hesitant around women. Whilst there are the usual ingredients of seduction and angst, Lisa Kleypas has put this plot together in a gripping way. It is a follow on from Lady Sophias Lover, but is still a great book in it's own right.

5.0 out of 5 stars A love so strong 22 Jan 2006
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I love Lisa Klepas' books I have almost everyone, but this one is my favourite Nick Gentry is portrayed as a hard unable to care man with a seedy nature to visit a brothel which is were he gets the knowlegde to become a good lover. When he is sent to find the lovely Charlotte he has nothing in mind but to take her back to radnor and be done. But sparks fly as she enchants him with her fiery ways and he soon becomes etranced by her and getting feelings he long thought he would never have. Soon klepas makes nicks character grow before your eyes as you watch him learn to love and like no other and defend his new wife and love her with all his heart. It is a very romantic book and one I would recomend to anyone as Charlottes strong nature brings the best out of Nick and how he defends and protects her when lord radnor kidnaps her and trys to torture his only ever love. Its a truely remarkable books as is all kleypas but this one will hook you as it did me I am sure! ENJOY!

4.0 out of 5 stars good lighthearted read 26 Sep 2012

Usual Lisa Kleypas format. Some of her books are brilliant and some not so. This one comes somewhere in the middle. A good read nonetheless and interesting characters. Worth giving it a go

This is a sequel to Lady Sophia's Lover which I loved reading. This can be a stand alone read as well - I thought it was a good book and have previously read in the paper back.
