Manufacturer's Description

Worms: Open Warfare 2 builds upon the success of last year’s Worms: Open Warfare. In addition to the classic Deathmatch mode, the game also includes robust new single and multiplayer modes such as Rope Race, Fort, Puzzle and Campaign modes that challenge players to use new strategies and teamwork to defeat their enemies. The new Firing Range allows gamers to test their weapons skills, including 11 new weapons like the Bunker Buster and Buffalo of Lies as well as classics such as the Super Sheep, Concrete Donkey and the Holy Hand Grenade. Gamers that take the battle online will be able to demonstrate their Worms combat prowess with daily updated stats and leaderboards on the official Worms website. Players will also enjoy the new, in-depth customization options including custom landscape and team flag editors in addition to modified hats, tombstones and victory dances for their worm teams.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unequalled quality in multiplayer DS games 2 Sep 2007
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I'll start this post with the truth. This is the best game I have ever played over WFC on the DS.

Im unshaken on this that its so well polished and bursting with options and modes that it will be hard to topple. Even Clubhouse games doesnt have this much hilarity to offer, other than drawing penises on the chat window to friends.

The weapons physics and overall content are all so much better than the original worms Open warfare. In my mind this is what the first game should have been plus a whole lot more. The main game mode for online are Forts where you have 2 forts, 1 on each side of the map and fire at eachother till the ammos run out or everyone from one side is dead. Deathmatch which is true worms with various weapon sets and background effects such as it rains down shells on the WW1 level. Then my personal favourite, Race where you have to use a predefined pickup like ninja rope or jetpacks to get to the end quicker than your opponent.
Throw into that custom teams, leaderboards for just about everything and you have a complete and amazing WIFI package.

Single player has even more, oh yes some how even more stuff. It has all thats mentioned above plus campaigns, puzzle modes and the Lab which uses all of the DS' fuctionality quite well though it is very tricky for those of us who don't do alot of puzzles.

Throw into it Single and multi card play for up to 4 people and the send demo ability and you have a community game like Tony Hawk will all the fun of Worms. Simply sublime game that demands to be in everyones collection.

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This is definately one of the best versions of worms to date, as it goes back to the roots of the classic games of the series while mantaining a a modern, updated feel of the later titles.

In a nutshell you controll a small army of little worms and use a variety of crazy weapons to destroy the enemy, the results are always hilarious and anarchic, and as you may have guessed this game is served best with three chums to battle with.

Pros:
Easy to pick up and play
Lots of weapons
Hilarious fun
Map Maker, create your own maps with the stylus!!

Cons:
Worms hard to see (No zoom feature either)
No baseball bat?? Thats a tad strange...

Definately recommended for all ds owners

5.0 out of 5 stars You can't ask for much more 5 July 2009

Worms: Open Warefare 2 hasn't really got a story line but you don't need one. Worms is simple in 2D and has many customisations. This game offers a variety of weapons, with all the ones you loved from the old game (Worms Open Warfare) and lots of great new ones.

This game includes a shop to buy various things and a landscape, team, rules and flag editor so the fun never stops! The Nintendo Wi-Fi is awsome but the DS download cuts out after 2 games and lags.

Overall this is an extremely fun game that never seems to end due to the range of multiplayer and single player modes.

Have Fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best DS game I have 2 Jan 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
For me this is what the DS should be about. I was addicted to Worms on the PC but it is so much more suited to the DS in that it can be picked up and played for 10mins and then put down again. There are lots of campaigns and puzzles but the real strength is in the multiplayer options and infinite varieties of variable landscapes.

There is a down side though, it's not always easy to find opposition worms during a game although this is something that I am getting better at as I get more used to the games.

The graphics are very good - but the beauty of the game is that it can be played and enjoyed by all ages.

Very highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worm-tastic! 21 April 2010

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This game is full of shootings, explosions and crazy worms. The graphics are excellent, the sound effects are funny and most of the weapons are realistic. You can work your way up through campaigns where your worms fight historical character worms such as pirates, WWI and WWII and you can customise your worm teams for language, names and colour. There is a shop where you can buy additions like scenery and weapons and a laboratory where you can complete mini games and challenges. There are tactics which you have to work out to succeed in some campaigns so its not just random shooting!

5.0 out of 5 stars great game! 22 April 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
my favourite ds game-betterthan mario kart! great in single player and multiplayer online. good graphics, lots of weapons, you can make your own maps, teams and team symbols. Great if you have worms 2/armageddon on pc and looking for a portable version, or if you are just looking for another ds game. Good sound fx too, fun single player missions, quick game mode-just turn it on press quick game and your away. you can save weapon and option setttings. overall, a fantastic game - good price too, compared too mario kart etc.

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
i loved worms on pc, hated the 3d option & wasnt too keen on gettin this but i have been proven wrong, i am as crap as ever at throwin grenades but some things dont change.

as a single player this game is good and doesnt get tedious or frustrating, its an explosive puzzle game that makes you think as well as make you smile.

havent tried multi player yet tho.
