Product Description

Product Description

In the best-selling tradition of "Please Take Advantage" of the "Chambermaid" and "The World's Stupidest Signs", we are delighted to announce this, our best-ever collection of "More of the World's Stupidest Signs". Hunting far and wide our fearless researcher has come across previously undiscovered classics. From sound advice such as "Don't let your worries kill you. Let the church help", to tempting advertisements like that for the "GBH Fitness Club", here is yet more evidence of man's age-old struggle with his language.

From the Publisher

'Due to the rector's illness, Wednesday's healing services will be discontinued until further notice'

'Warning; footpath unsuitable for pedestrians'

'Plants produce flowers'

Unbelievable as it seems, all those signs are genuine, proving once again that nothing is so strange, bewildering or confusing as man's age-old struggle with his language.

Collected from all over the world, this book is a hilarious compilation of these battles with the written word.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great laugh!, 28 Nov 2009
This review is from: More of the World's Stupidest Signs (Paperback)
Throughout reading this book, one is constantly forced to think 'how stupid do you get'?

"WARNING! do not pour liquids into the back of your television set" - "Bottomless pit, 65 feet deep" "trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again". Truly brilliant! Many great laughs for a very small price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Amusing book, ideal for a giggle or the loo!, 26 Feb 2009

This review is from: More of the World's Stupidest Signs (Paperback)
A great book to have in the 'smallest room', or for older children and adults, who will get the most out of it.
Highlights the amusing things in life we all to often pass by and dont notice, from the occasionaly absurd and historical place names in Great Britain, for example 'Wetwang' (a small village in Yorkshire) to the confusingly mundane, such as restaurant menus and unintelligble roadside directions.
Part of a series, it makes for a cheap and amusing laugh.

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny & Entertaining, 20 Aug 2010
This review is from: More of the World's Stupidest Signs (Paperback)
This is a light entertaining little book that you can have a look at whenever you feel like it. It's great for a throw in Christmas/birthday present. It's nothing special but it will give you a bit of a laugh.
