1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY 2 Feb 2010
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have only looked at two of the discs in this set so far and they are all about how AMERICA won the the war. The title of the disc set should read: America_And How We Won The War.

This set is an absolute waste of £16.00, it is rubbish. The narrator never shuts up, the film quality is poor, the sound is'nt too bad, but wobbly in parts, nothing like the excellent quality of WORLD AT WAR series. The best place for this set of DVDs is in the DUSTBIN, where mine are going right now. The only part of this set worth keeping are the DVD cases. Do not waste your money. Like I said I have only seen two of the discs and I will not even bother to glance at the rest of them, the narration drives you nuts. If you want learn about World War Two, buy the WORLD AT WAR Set.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite what I was looking for 23 Dec 2009
Format:DVD
Not at all like World War 1 in colour - this is not a history of the war, more like personal views from various aspects of the war. If this is what you were looking for then 'World War 2 In Colour' is fine.......but I think they are using the title to deceive unsuspecting buyers!

1.0 out of 5 stars The USA won WWII single-handed, apparently 13 Jun 2010
Format:DVD
A big disappointment as only the USA's war is recorded. How anyone could produce a WWII documentary and not include the Battle of Britain in the 'Air War' section is, frankly, appalling - and an insult to the men who died, both British and Allies. I gave it away to a charity shop a few days after watching it. Was cheap, though, so...
