Product Description

Product Description
Brings the world's religions to life, making them relevant and accessible to today's children. The beliefs, history and customs of all the main religions are dealt with individually, while the introductory sections address more general questions such as: why do human beings have religions? what do different religions have in common? what has been their part in human affairs? With its descriptions of many lesser-known religions and sects, its glossary, maps and time chart, the book forms an accessible introduction to the subject for children aged 10 and upwards.

1.0 out of 5 stars consists of opinions of the author in lieu of facts, 14 Nov 1999
By A Customer
It's disappointing that a company as reputable as Usborne books would choose an author who would so grossly misrepresent the beliefs of millions of people in this country. She neglected to check her "facts", that could be better described as opinions.
