"It's time to toss those boring white paper airplanes and buy "The World Record Paper Airplane Book""--"Hemispheres" magazine

Product Description

It's the all you need resources for beginners and experienced paper airplane fliers alike with a total of 20 models and 112 flyers, ready to pull out and fold. But the planes are just the beginning. The book features an improved and expanded text section with more photos and tons of cool information on aerodynamics, competitions, and designing your own high-performing models. Readers will learn why paper airplanes fly (and why they crash), the history of Ken Blackburn's world record, and how to organise and win a contest. Plus there's a flight log and pull-out runway for practicing accuracy.

I got this as a gift. Each airplane can be made from the paper pages of the book (which you tear out and fold). The designs vary widely and best of all most of these planes really fly well. My favourite is 'the vortex': basically no more than a hoop of paper...you think it will never work but when you throw it ...wow! It moves along at a constant slow-ish speed like something tossed in zero gravity. The effect is quite eery.

A Kid's Review

The World Record Paper Airplane Book
I have been making paper aeroplanes for a long time. I like this book as you can make complicated planes but the instructions are really simple and easy to follow. They look pretty real when folded and it is important to take your time when making them for them to be able to fly accurately.I would definitely recommend this book to a friend.

Perfect! 13 Jun 2010
Format:Paperback
Very detailed & excellent step by step instructions. Looking forward to using some of the simpler designs with the children in my year 2 class.
