This is, in my opinion, one of the best new-agey chillout albums ever. While the follow-up albums were very good (particularly 'Boheme'), nothing can top the total gorgeousness of this. I have owned it for the last 7 years and still play it all the time. The opening line "Deep in the forest, are living some little men....and women" still has the capacity to make me laugh while simultaneously sending shivers down my spine.

Deep Forests 'deep forest' is one of the finest pieces of music of the ambient/nu-hop/deep-down genre. It soothes and satisfies, and takes me all the way back to chillums in Kerala, and lazy crazy sunsets in Goa.The vocals chill the spine, and the acoustics releive the 1st world stress. Whilst their later offerings are not to be sniffed at, this should be part of everyones collection, if for nothing other than its originality
