The one and only album from the near-legendary grindcore supergroup, featuring members of Morbid Angel (Pete Sandoval and David Vincent) as well as Jesse Pintado of Righteous Pigs, who went on to join Napalm Death after the release of this record. If you're a fan of any extreme metal, you need to have this as part of your collection. On it's release, this was one of the most extreme albums ever, and even now, 13 years on, it still packs a level of intensity that only a few contemparary bands can match. No frills, no solos, just Pintado's frenzied riffing, Sandoval's inhuman double bass drums and Oscar Garcia's gutteral vocals, this record is all over after 16 songs and just over half an hour. Surprisingly, given the underground nature, the production (courtesy of David Vincent) is very good and clear, with his own bass high in the mix, naturally enough.
Basically, there's not much more to say about this album. If you like bands such as Napalm Death or Morbid Angel then the chances are you'll like this(no big surprise there, then!). Songs of the calibre of 'Dead Shall Rise' and 'After World Obliteration' don't come along everyday, and if you ignore the unfair accusations that Terrorizer weere nothing more than a Morbid Angel pet project, you will no doubt be more than impressed.
