Review

Umeh succinctly explains how the IT, business models, and standards combine and interact, and how the industry is now maturing to take account of such rapid change. He presents a superb example of how technology is developing to fulfil a business requirement , and how it can adapt and innovate to drive transformation and change in an entire industry. --John Beaver, IT Training, Autumn 2008.

Unfortunately a new challenge has arisen: proving who owns what information, and who can modify original data - i.e. Digital Rights Management. It's a topic we all need to grasp and this book definitely makes a good starting point -- Andy Mullholland, Global Chief Technology Officer 20071001

THE WORLD BEYOND DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT 17 July 2008

The World Beyond Digital Rights Management

This is a great piece of work about DRM and Digital Content by Jude Umeh. It is pretty detailed. The book is excellent for anyone that wants to understand anything about Digital Right Management and issues around Digital Content like illegal downloading and piracy. The diction and content provide solutions to many unanswered questions by some consumers concerned about the negative effect of piracy on the owners of such materials or content as well as the effectiveness of the existing standard.

I read this book out of curiosity about DRM and even though I am not a technologist or a media person, I was able to understand the issues discussed by the author especially in the early 4 chapters and the last chapter. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
