5.0 out of 5 stars A dramatic story beautifully told 1 Dec 2009
Format:Paperback
I loved this powerful, poetic story of the conquest of the New World. Told in two voices, it's the story of Nadie, a young girl captured from her village near Roanoke and brought to England as an exhibit, and Tom, a young Plymouth blacksmith. Their struggles, and the sufferings of both Indians and settlers, are revealed in short chapters and vivid scenes that make the book hard to put down. Exciting, moving, and unforgettable.
