I can confirm that the issues are now sorted and CD3 is restored to the quality we expect from Rhino. Well done Rhino!

Unbelievably bad mastering.,

I actually have owned this set for a couple of months now and only managed to listen to disc 1 which seemed ok. I put on disc 3 last night (first track: "Guitar Man") and I'd thought I'd blown my tweeters by having the volume set too high. Luckily By trying other discs in my collection this wasn't the case, its simply down to very poor mastering on Rhino's part. As with other reviewers here, AVOID AT ALL COSTS and buy "The Sound of Bread" instead.

Bread are second to none in their musicianship and ability to write beautiful, and sometimes exciting, songs. But this collection is seriously flawed. While the first two discs are fine, the third has been pressed at such a high volume that many of the tracks are severely distorted and as such impossible to listen to. This is obviously a manufacturing error, so until Rhino/Warners resolve the problem (and recall the discs already distibuted), avoid this set at all costs. (You could try one of the other Bread compilations that are available instead -I'd recommend 'Retrospective').
