4.0 out of 5 stars Great and Horrible Insights 2 July 2011
By nakamotoc - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is great for providing working examples and sticking with real exercises. It also is good for summarizing writing formats such as letters, memos, and reports and emphasizing the importance of knowing your audience. A early problem though is how outdated its views of workplaces can be. Often it advises passive-aggressive writing. In addition it places a hypercritical emphasis on workplace relations and hierarchy. Still, it provides some realistic sense of the work environment.
3.0 out of 5 stars Purchased as a college textbook 26 Mar 2013

Purchased as a college textbook but later found out they listed the wrong title for the class, pondered the idea of returning but decided to keep as a reference. I have not put it to use yet.

Bought this book for a class I took on campus and did not want to pay the extreme price on campus. Found it on here for a 1/3 of the cost and it was the extact same book it was perfect. Great ship time and wonderful customer service.
