Very nice book, easy to read and informative. It is not very deep and does not contain a diet program as I was hoped for, but after all this £0 book in Kindle store. The reason I purchased it was to see the style of the writer and his knowledge on the topic because this book is actually an introduction to his main book "Bigger,Leaner, Stronger". I can say Michael stood the test and I am to buy his main book. I learned some things I did not know before (I did read many books on the topic) from a free of charge book, which shows the author's expertise.

Basic no nonsense straight to the point.
Ideal for someone starting out at the gym.
It's not going to impress the ardent lifer at the gym.
but that's never easy.
The guy doesn't totally rubbish supplements, just puts things in perspective.

A no nonsense guide to the fundamentals of sports fitness supplements specific towards muscle building and maintenance. It took me time and expense to learn what is presented here in a very simple format. I wish I'd read this years ago.

Keeping this short, although this has some good points in, all of this (in a lot more detail and with a lot more besides) is in Mike's books (Bigger/Thinner, Leaner, Stronger). I'd recommend you buy them off the bat.

Don't waste your time with this. It's a load of flannel and hot air and won't teach you anything. There is so much hot air and ego in fitness writing. Less of this sort of thing.
