About the Author
Josephine Price Powell was born January 27th, 1943, in the Lancashire Dock area. The youngest of five children, she had two brothers and two sisters, one of whom she called ?little mother?. Expelled from school at 14 for refusing to ?work?, she travelled with horse dealers before becoming a singer and later, an embalmer. She has seen Death many times, through the eyes of a child, a woman and an embalmer. She understands the needs of those wishing to become embalmers and the difficulties that face them.
