A GOOD INTRODUCTION TO TEARS FOR FEARS CATALOGUE, 1 Mar 2004
This review is from: The Working Hour - An Introduction To Tears For Fears (Audio CD)
This is somewhat of an interesting compilation because it's one of the few that actually showcases Tears For Fears first four albums (most compilations only bother with the first three) and also a few b-sides which are not available on the standard albums (they are on the re-released masters and the b-side compilation album, 'Saturnine, Martial and Lunatic').
The songs a chronologically presented with the first four tracks taken from 'The Hurting'. The fifth track, 'The Marauders', is a b-side, and track 6-8 are from 'Songs from the Big Chair'. Track 9 and 10 are from 'Sowing the Seeds of Love', and track 11, 'Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dream' is a b-side. Track 12 and 13 are from the 'Elemental' album and the last two tracks, 14 and 15 are b-sides.
Overall, like the title implies, it is in fact 'an introduction to Tears For Fears' because there's enough there to showcase the duo's music career throughout fifteen years (although the 'Elemental' tracks are Roland Orzabal's solo work).
