Book Description

1 Mar 2007 Special Editions

A sensational assembly of salacious stories selected from the secret shelves of the libraries of libertines, long-gone gentlemen, rakes and roues. These pages are patinated with the pulsating passion of vigorous youths, willing wenches, innocent initiates, meddling madames and vicarious voyeurs. The passionate participants, the actors and actresses of these romances, the heroes and heroines of these tales all seem to need little encouragement to indulge in their ribald and riotous recreation.

Few avenues of amorous adventure and exotic experiment will be left unexplored. Here some great and some prudently anonymous authors inspired by inventive imagination and, probably, personal experience lay out their works of fantasy for your edification.

2.0 out of 5 stars Repetetive rubbish! 24 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought this book to take on holiday as a good read, and hopefully a positive example of Victorian "erotica". It is neither! It is not a good read because once you have read perhaps the first 30 pages, the sexual situations that occur are continually repeated ad nauseam. This quickly bores you, causing you to lose interest in finding out what happens next - because it's fairly obvious! This book purports to offer classic erotica to it's readers - it does not! There are classics out there but this is not one of them.

3.0 out of 5 stars When It's Hot It's Hot, & When It's Not, It's Not 22 Mar 2013
By forrest c posey - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I chose a three star rating because, some of the stories were repiticious in the telling. But, of course , that's my own opinion, others may enjoy that style. While ALL were sexy, some were Very Sexy ! The Autobiography Of A Flea I read twice within 2 weeks & will soon read it again, no doubt. While there were several stories in the book, I only truely enjoyed maybe 4 of them, but the ones I really enjoyed, they were VERY EXOTIC !

3.0 out of 5 stars stupid mistake? 25 Oct 2008
By A. Adamson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
For some reason I thought this to be a book of images (which is what I wanted), not text. I browsed through the text, none of it piqued my fancy, and I returned it.
