Format:Paperback
As part of a voluntary group working on the update of the Victoria County History of North Hampshire, we meet regularly to read 16th - 18th century wills as a means of analyzing the wealth and social history of the time. Deciphering the handwriting is difficult enough, but when you think you have worked out the word, letter by letter and it still doesn't mean anything, 8 times out of 10 it is in this invaluable book. I first saw it in a library and at least 9 people have subsequently bought the book - I wish I had got commission on the sales! It beats any website that I've found to date.
